I use Continental Airlines, which will ship your bunnies counter to counter... so there is less hold time than in Cargo. They do NOT require health certificates, and will ship up to 50 lbs total of rabbits/carriers for $189. A minimum purchase of $200 is required |
|
You will have to pay for an airline-approved carrier (about $50 for a 4 or 6-hole with top and bottom trays), and feed and water cups for each bunny (about $3 each). I suggest you order the equipment from BunnyRabbit.com and have it shipped to my home address. The nearest Continental connection is Corpus Christi, 35 miles away. It is a flat $189 shipping + any fuel surcharge. Weather plays a part in the practicality of shipping. Continental will ship only if the receiving airport is above 32 degrees and under 85. Spring and Fall are the best and safest times for the rabbits. Prior to shipping I need the balance (cost of rabbits + shipping fees) paid in full... preferably by money order, cashier's check , or by using the You need to tell me what airport you want to use, and we need to agree on a date and time. I will then call the airlines and make shipping arrangements. |
I will refund your money if you have purchased a show quality animal and it is disqualified by an ARBA judge at an ARBA sanctioned show within two months of purchase (excepting DQ's for illness/injury while in your care). You will need to send me a copy of the remark card describing the DQ. ( Note: DQ for overweight will not be refundable because it could be due to pregnancy, obesity, or faulty scales.) If you are dissatisfied with the rabbits upon their arrival, then I will refund your money if you ship them back to me (you are responsible for shipping fees) within the 14-day health guarantee period. Otherwise, I can replace the animal with another if we arrange to meet at a show (for instance, ARBA National Convention), or I can credit the purchase amount of that animal toward another animal, at my discretion. The difficulty of shipping/replacing rabbits makes it obvious that you need to ask as many questions and request as many photos as you need to feel confident that you are getting what you expect. I want you to be happy with your bunnies! I will very honestly answer any and all questions, but keep in mind that my opinion of the quality of an animal may or may not be consistent with yours or a judge's opinions. Despite the breed standard, we often have no clue what judges are looking for, as BOB winners sometimes bottom out a class and also consistent "losers" sometimes win BOB. It is difficult at times to see just how a junior rabbit will turn out, especially when so much depends on care, feeding, and conditioning. All I can offer is my honest opinion. I can also email copies of show remark cards. Do not hesitate to ask questions! |
